Project: EMC site survey and control plan on a solar photovoltaic farm

Time scale: 4 working days including a 2-day site survey, a 1-day analysis and report

Scope of work: A solar photovoltaic farm is being developed 2km from an airport. An EMC site survey is required to determine the current status of the electromagnetic environment.

For this work, we propose on-site testing activities combined with review work. Scopes of work are therefore defined as below:

  1. To carry out an EMC site survey (in-situ test) of the solar photovoltaic plant on the XXX site in XXX to determine the current status of the electromagnetic environment.
  2. To draft an EMC assessment report to ensure that the authorised development operates at all times so the total radiated power emitted from the solar photovoltaic farm is within the acceptable level.
  3. Site survey and pre-compliance EMC work (including site layout review and support, EM troubleshooting and mitigation recommendations) are all part of the EMC assessment report.
